Sawmill Creek Pottery is nestled in the mountains of Bryson City in Swain County, North Carolina. Our pieces are showcased in various local galleries and we enjoy attending art festivals both locally and in surrounding states.  As this web site updates we will be adding information about upcoming events.

"Ed and Kari's pottery is absolutely beautiful!  We have it displayed in our home and use it daily." -Laura M.,

About Us

Kari and Ed McIlvaine are originally from the Republic of Panama.  After retiring from the Panama Canal and living in Florida for a few years, we moved to Bryson City, North Carolina.  Kari and Ed have developed their pottery skills by working with local well-known potters and work out of Sawmill Creek Pottery Studio and Gallery located at 80 Highway 28 South, Bryson City.  Kari and Ed have varied styles and work together to produce a line of whimsical and functional pottery.
